It uses many of the features of Soulcalibur IV, including its character customization mode. Description

With Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny’s huge roster of warriors, players can battle as one of many returning favorites or new fighters for some nail biting brawls. Blow away the competition using finely tuned and enhanced mechanics including Critical Finishes, Soul Crushes and Equipment Destruction. Adding depth to the combat, an all new single player mode has been developed that not only challenges a player’s reflexes but also improves their fighting skills. Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny also allows gamers to engage in local wireless battles, allowing them to challenge a friend using the PSP systems ad hoc networking. Furthermore, an almost limitless character customization feature returns with even more possibilities to create a personalized fighter. Adrenaline pumping combat has never been so accessible.

Gameplay

The Soul Calibur games have a history of guest characters, from The Legend of Zelda's Link in Soul Calibur 2 (if you were playing on GameCube anyway) to Yoda and Darth Vader in Soul Calibur 4. Soul Of Devil Jin Fighting Style - Beat Harada in Quick Battle or in Legandary Souls (Asia path) / OR reach Player Level 5 Unlockable Stages Perform the following actions to unlock additional stages. Soulcalibur was originally planned to be a dramatic overhaul, with all new characters apart from Mitsurugi from Soul Edge. However, nine of the 11 characters from Soul Edge ended up carrying over to Soulcalibur by the time the roster was finalized in the Dreamcast version (Cervantes, Hwang, Seong Mi-na, Mitsurugi, Rock, Siegfried, Sophitia, Taki, Voldo), with an additional ten new characters. Shura is a bonus character from Soul Calibur 4. She wields the exact same moveset as Cervantes. Siegfried Schtauffen. The main protagonist of the Soul Calibur series, once corrupted by the evil Soul Edge and became the original Nightmare, and was later purified, wielding the sacred Soul Calibur instead as he quests to destroy Soul Edge forever.

Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny features an English language and Japanese language mode for both text and speech. Custom characters, however, can only be named using the ASCII naming interface, regardless of the language setting.

  • Quick Match is a mode where players are given a list of A.I. players with their titles and stats and choose which opponent to fight. Players who have won against the A.I will receive “unique titles” that you can wear, the “title” is under their name during Versus Mode.
  • The Gauntlet is the tutorial mode for Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, which has similar story telling features like Soulcalibur II’s Weapon Master mode, although the player is informed at the start that this story is non-canonical.
  • Trials consists of three portions — Trial of Attack, Trial of Defense, and Endless Trials. All of the portions are round-based battles. Trial of Attack rewards score according to how well a player can chain the attacks.
  • Versus Mode is similar in features to Quick Match, except that the players are nearby PSP players who connect wirelessly through an ad hoc network.
  • Training Mode which allows player to test out moves and practice in controlled condition, much the same as Practice Mode/Training in other previous Soulcalibur games.

Introduction

SoulCalibur II is a fighting game released in 2002 by Namco. Like other titles in the Soulcalibur series, the community uses numpad notation.

Game Mechanics

One life bar=240 Health Points

There are three attack heights

Highs

Can be crouched under. Can be Gaurd Impacted by using forward+gaurd.

Mids

Must be stand guarded. Can be Gaurd Impacted by using forward+gaurd or back+gaurd.

Lows

Must be crouch guarded or jumped over. Can be Gaurd Impacted by using forward+gaurd.

Special Mids

Can be guarded standing or crouching. Some can be jumped over.

There are three attack types

A

Soul Calibur 6 Character List

Horizontal attacks. It is not guaranteed that these moves will track, sometimes they do.

B

Vertical attacks. These will always beat out A attacks. Even some of these moves track.

K

Kicks.

There are 4 counter hit types

Attack

Ashlotte Soul Calibur 4

120% damage as well as special properties such as knockdown, stun, or combo state

8 way run

115% and no properties are added, this is different from later Soulcaliburs and the primary reason why this is a better game :)

Sidestep

118% damage

Backdash

140% damage as well as special added properties, movement is generally safe except backdashing

Moving and Guarding

8 way run exists, it's ok, but you primarily want to use this to enable certain moves. You can evade if you time 8WR against a move correctly, making you invincible to that damage instance. If guard is pressed during a step correctly, you will guard during the step. Advancing guard reduces pushback, retreating guard adds pushback. These properties are dependent of the weight classes of the character.

Throws

Throws are teched with either A or B. All throws look the same, so throws are teched based on riskVreward, such as ringout and damage. TER is a mechanic that gives 14 frames to anyone who presses downforward or downback during throw break scenario

There are 3 soul charge levels

Level 1: Yellow Green

Level 2: Green Blue

Level 3: Blue>Grants backdash counter

Characters have gaurd crushes and unblockables granted from soul charge as well as soul charge cancels. Soul charge unblockables can still be GI'ed

Gaurd Impact

Forward GI gives minor advantage while back GI give major advantage. The only way to defend after being GI'ed is to GI back or to 2G, which opens the 2G'er up to throws and lows.
